A glass of wine is good for digestion, but bad when you suffer from acid reflux. Wine, liquor and beer, are the most acidic alcohols.

If you have acid reflux issues, try to abstain. As an alternative, you can drink some of the alcoholic beverages that are not very acidic.

High Fat Meats

Pork, beef and lamb are common acid reflux causes because they stay longer in the stomach because they are harder to digest. Being meats high in fat, these foods increase the chance of acid reflux symptoms.

I don’t say you should remove them from your daily diet.  You should simply try to have them only once a week.


Perhaps you noticed how often caffeine is mentioned in this article. Caffeine is actually one of the worst causes when it comes to acid reflux.

It is shown that people who drink a lot of coffee are either suffering from acid reflux or courting it.


Tomatoes are no good for your acid problems, so you should try to avoid them while trying to get rid of acid reflux. Also, try to cut back on foods containing this fruit, such as salsa, pizza and spaghetti sauce.

Spicy Foods
